CeNS Lab Tour at the Nano Institute

On June 18, more than 20 CeNS Associates took part in a CeNS Lab Tour at the Nano Institute of the Faculty of Physics at LMU Munich. The event offered participants a unique opportunity to explore the research groups of Jochen Feldmann, Alexander Urban, Alexander Högele, Andreas Tittl, Emiliano Cortés, and the start-up iNSyT Solutions.

During the tour, participants visited a variety of state-of-the-art laboratories and experimental facilities, including chemistry and spectroscopy labs, ultrafast laser setups, and electron microscopy facilities. They learned about current research on quantum dots, perovskites, 2D materials, plasmonics, and nanoscale dynamics, as well as advanced methods such as photoluminescence spectroscopy, pump-probe measurements, and machine-learning-assisted materials design.

The tour provided valuable insights into the broad spectrum of nanoscience research carried out within the CeNS network and highlighted how cutting-edge experimental techniques are used to address fundamental and applied research questions.

The evening concluded with pizza, refreshments, and lively discussions among researchers from different disciplines. We would like to thank all researchers and lab members who served as guides and shared their expertise, as well as the CeNS Student Representatives for organizing this successful event.
