Solution-Processed Perovskites: Toward Scalable Solar Cells and X-ray Detectors

Perovskite solar cells have achieved unprecedented gains in efficiency, driven by their defect tolerance and simple fabrication processes. However, this progress has largely relied on toxic solvents, non-scalable fabrication methods, and polycrystalline materials. In this talk, I will present our advances in the scalable fabrication of perovskite solar modules using green solvents [1]. Time permitting, I will also discuss our automated synthetic platform for perovskite single crystals [2], and their application in monocrystalline solar cells [3] and X-ray detectors [4].
